Design and development

Ellegaard has developed a ground-breaking new PM motor and control with a view to savings and streamlining material flow. The technology behind the new PM engine, and the advanced electronic control, make full use of the engine’s capacity. The efficiency thus achieved is the best on the market and the energy consumption exceeds the new European standards for energy consumption. The exact position of the rotor is constantly measured and the current is adapted depending on the rotation speed and load. This is not possible on a standard motor where the current is the same regardless of the position of the rotor.

internal transport systems going smoothly all over Denmark During more than fifteen of these years, we have moreover produced, developed, and repaired drum motors locally for Danish businesses.

With the intent of improving the service level, and ensure faster delivery times for customers, we began our own production in Viborg in 2005 – and already in 2009, the production capacity increased sharply in connection with
us setting up on new and larger premises. This means that we can offer extremely short delivery times on standard drum motors, as well as completely individual solutions. If it is urgent, we can deliver a new drum motor within a matter of hours.

Technically and in regards to quality, ScanDrive® drum motors are completely on par with those leading on the world market, and with just a few minor adjustments, our drum motors can easily be implemented into existing structures.

The ScanDrive drum motors are compact and robust and provide optimal performance in almost any situation and condition. ​

An IP 69K seal provides the highest possible enclosure of the drum motor and even meet the high requirements for hygiene and cleaning – especially in the food industry.

The motors can withstand high pressure, flushing and hot water cleaning and can operate in extreme conditions without dust or liquid entering the drum.

In the IEC 60529 classification system, the IP6 code refers to the product’s ability to resist the ingress of dust. 9K refers to the product’s ability to resist the penetration of high temperature (steam) and/or high pressure water.
